In-between-updates

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to give a quick update on the game’s progress: I’ve fixed a couple of bugs by refactoring major parts of the code. Things should now be much more robust and new stuff should be easier to implement. I also started working on the music of the game. As this is not my specialty, I need to learn a lot about the proper workflow and music theory. However I welcome the challenge, especially since I know what kind of music I’m aiming for. More on that in another update once I have an example song to show (listen?).

In terms of my road map there’s one thing I want to clarify: The game will get updates every couple of months. But not every update will be a milestone update. I’ll go with the convention of 0.x.y for my updates. Everything in Early Access will be part of the 0.x.y release numbering scheme. X defines the major milestones, while y will be used for the minor updates. So 0.1.0 is the initial Early Access release version and 0.2.0 will be the first milestone version. And every update in between is just that: An In-between-update.
I go for that kind of convention so that you know I'm working on the project constantly. I think this is in the best interest for everyone!

So stay tuned for an in-between-update in a few weeks. I won't name a specific date, as we've seen how that goes. Thanks for your patience and until then bye bye.
