Source code available
Hi there!
As you may know, I'm currently developing the demo version for A Home in Darkness. Up until recently this involved redesigning various different systems and rethinking the gameplay loop. I'm mostly done with that, so I'm back into content creation and bug fixing.
I'm very happy with the code base I have. So much in fact, that I decided to make the source code available for purchase as the Survival Horror Template. It contains all the necessary code and assets to create your own Survival Horror game. Fell free to check it out, if you are interested.
What does this mean for A Home in Darkness? Not much actually. Working on the template allowed me to find a few more bugs and bad code design decision, I might have not seen at this point. And A Home in Darkness is still being developed as intended. I just wanted to make this clear, before anyone gets confused.
I try to get the demo done as soon as possible. It will look very different from the version 0.8. Some of the changes you can already see in the template. But there will be more. Stay tuned for that and have a nice day.
